Exploring Intelligence – Human and Artificial
A Special Interactive Session at EUS Skyline & HPB 2025 For the first time in the history of EUS Skyline, this year’s program introduces a unique and ambitious experiment: a long-form, reality-style session designed to explore how conversational artificial intelligence might interact with an advanced endoscopy specialist in a real knowledge-sharing setting. The premise is simple, yet unprecedented. We invited Dr. Kenneth Binmoeller – one of the most experienced and respected figures in interventional endoscopy – into a quiet room, placed him in front of a conversational AI system, and asked him to engage with it freely. No script. No predefined path. No demonstration agenda. Just a real conversation, shaped entirely by clinical questions, reasoning, uncertainties, decision-making, and the natural flow of professional dialogue. The result is a docu-session that captures something we rarely see: an authentic exchange between human expertise and artificial intelligence, without filters or rehearsals. Rather than focusing on performance or technological claims, the session documents the process itself: the dynamics of interaction, the way questions emerge, how knowledge is probed, and how two different forms of “intelligence” attempt to understand each other. This initiative does not aim to define what AI should be in endoscopy, nor to predict its future role. Instead, it opens a window onto a landscape that is still taking shape. It allows us to observe what happens when clinical experience meets a rapidly evolving conversational tool, and to reflect on the possibilities, the challenges, and the open questions that arise from this encounter. “Exploring Intelligence – Human and Artificial” is therefore not a lecture, not a debate, and not a demonstration. It is an invitation to witness a moment of exploration. One that belongs as much to the present as to the emerging future of endoscopy. The full session will premiere during EUS Skyline 2025 on December 5th, within the live program running from 08:00 to 22:00 CET. We encourage all participants to tune in and experience this special feature as part of a rich and diverse scientific agenda. Registration is free and available at: www.eus-skyline.com
Women Shaping Endoscopy: A Conversation That Matters
As part of the 4th Edition of EUS Skyline, we are proud to introduce a special roundtable dedicated to the women who are redefining the landscape of advanced endoscopy. This year, we will be joined by three exceptional clinicians – Amrita Sethi (USA), Nada El-Domiaty (Egypt), and Majidah Bukhari (UAE) – whose experiences reflect the diversity, challenges, and achievements of women across different regions of the world. The session will address a series of themes that have emerged as we shaped this special conversation: This roundtable will be a moment of reflection and awareness.Through personal experiences, professional insights, and perspectives from three different continents, we will shed light on the challenges still faced by many women in our discipline, as well as the remarkable contributions they bring to the evolution of endoscopy. By giving visibility to these voices, EUS Skyline aims to encourage the next generation of clinicians, highlight the importance of diversity in clinical leadership, and foster a global community where talent can thrive regardless of gender or geography. We invite you to join us for this important discussion on December 5, 2025, and to discover how women continue to shape the future of endoscopy: with vision, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to patient care.
Behind the Scenes of EUS Skyline 2025
A Global Event Built on Expertise, Coordination, and Collaboration As we approach the 4th Edition of EUS Skyline, we want to share a glimpse of what happens behind the cameras. Because an event that spans continents, connects more than 20 leading centers, and brings together outstanding experts from around the world is the result of a remarkable collective effort. Each year, the heart of EUS Skyline beats inside our Main Broadcasting and Coordination Hub. In 2025, this hub will be based at IRCCS ISMETT–UPMC in Palermo, where clinical excellence comes together with a dedicated technical team to ensure that every connection, every live procedure, and every discussion reaches the global audience seamlessly.Alongside Palermo, our European Connected Hub at UZ Leuven plays a pivotal role in orchestrating the international network of centers joining the event. Their experience, reliability, and scientific leadership allow us to deliver a continuous, high-quality educational marathon from early morning to late evening. What the audience sees on December 5 – the live demonstrations, the interactive discussions, the transitions across time zones – is only the final chapter of months of planning. From aligning schedules with centers across Asia, Europe, and the Americas, to testing live feeds, rehearsing connections, and coordinating moderators, every detail is meticulously shaped to offer a fluid and immersive experience. EUS Skyline is also made possible thanks to the commitment of our sponsors and partners, whose support enables us to build an event of this scale and ambition. Their contribution strengthens our ability to innovate, expand the program, and bring forward sessions dedicated to the future of HBP endoscopy, including this year’s focus on women in endoscopy and the emerging role of conversational AI. Behind the scenes, what drives the entire team is a shared purpose: to create a global forum where knowledge can circulate freely, where experts can meet regardless of distance, and where the evolution of endoscopic care becomes a collective journey. Stay with us as we prepare for another exceptional edition. And get ready to join us live around the world on December 5, 2025.
